Independence Day…

In my country, the United States, we celebrate the 4th of July as our independence day.

The dictionary states that, …Independence is a condition of a nation, country, or state in which its residents and population, or some portion thereof, exercise self-government, and usually sovereignty, over its territory.

Today, I am thinking of myself as a country. I am self-governed and looking to the Creator for my sustenance. No one else. I love the people in my life and I will do them the honor of not needing them. They are in my life to simply BE and not DO anything for me but love me if that is what they choose.

I am on a new path. I am learning more everyday about who I really am. In order to do that, I will spend more time horseback, for the horse has been my greatest teacher and I will create something everyday. We are made in the image of the greatest Creator. I believe if I am not creating then I am ignoring and repressing a major component of who I am. Writing this blog is a way I create, as is teaching my horse a new maneuver or making a sandwich for lunch. Only now…I will be more mindful of the way in which I create and not be on auto pilot.
